Keith Haring born in 1958 in Pennsylvania was one of the worlds first artists to devote his art to the public. The artist used public spaces such as subways as well as painting murals all over the world, some expressing social messages. Haring’s work is now being exhibited at the Brooklyn museum until July 8th. Many of the subway art is on display as well home videos, sketches and collaborations with artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.
