This fall we are launched  “Community Series”. A series of pop ups with local brands.

Our second installment is with Legin Knits

Taking high-fashion crochet from the runway to the street Nigel John of Legin Knits in Toronto creates hats, custom made clothing and accessories that any self respecting lover of fashion would be proud to wear. Having learned crochet at age 19 on one of his regular visits to Trinidad, his parent’s home country, he took his art past covering his dreadlocks and the artistic culture of rastafari to skater fashion and runway material for the every day and/or couture.  Legin, as his friends call him, prides himself on his ability to customize each garment for the wearer, with a wide variety of choices in fibers, vibrant colours and shapes.  He incorporates knitting and also silk screens his own casual wear, and combines crochet with fabric and accessories to take creativity and styling one step further.  The quality and passion for fashion that he puts into each garment is matched only by his speed and attention to detail.
